Bobby D's is my favorite "fast food" for Mexican when I am visiting Orange. I never miss the opportunity to eat there.
The food is tasty and very well priced for the large quantities served. I am guilty of getting the same thing almost every time I go. The Carnitas Burrito "wet" is outstanding. When there last week, I also ordered the Chili Rellenos ala carte and it was delicious.
Fast, friendly and delicious! Thanks Bobby D's - please don't ever change! -

more like 3.5 stars out of 5.
its been a while since i've been back here.
I was craving mexican food today and didn't want to drive to santa ana to get some.
We ended up getting a two item combo with enchilada and Chile relleno (i believe all plates comes with cheese and beans) and a california burrito. honestly, the california burrito is very very plain and boring. even adding salsa to it, it was still bland. the carne asada was kinda dry and the burrito only has sour cream and fries in it along with the meat... they do have cheese on top, but it didn't really help the flavor.
as for the two item combo, it was really good and packed full of flavor.
They have a salad bar with lemon/limes, mild/medium/spicy salsa.
I like the fact that they have reusable small dishes. i hate when other places only give small disposable cups for the salsa. you can't fill that much in those small cups.
They have a coke multiple choice machine. I welcome these machines, as i can try many different flavors.
They will give you chips in the beginning while you wait for your food.
They also have two TVs inside, typically playing sports. -

Well this was my first time eating here at Bobby D's and i wasn't to impressed. I had two hard shell chicken tacos that were greasy from what they cook and flavor the meat in. The stuff dripping out of my tacos tasted like the orange or red sauce Mexican places put over the enchiladas. I had a large guacamole with chips and the guacamole was great but although my chips were warm they were also very stale. The tacos were just under 3.00 which in my opinion is expensive compared to most other good Mexican food stops that charge under 2.00 for a chicken taco. The store inside is dirty and the floor looks unfinished and has food all over it so i did take out.

Always enjoy a meal at Bobby D's! We've been coming for years and it never disappoints! Tried the HUGE Ultimate burrito which filled a LARGE chafing dish-sized tray and it fed several of us! We then ordered one for a party- great idea! We'll have to get the Ultimate Nachos next. The staff is always friendly and courteous- we love this place!
